Rev. Carl Richard Steinbicker was ordained a priest in 1933 and briefly served as chaplain at St. Aloysius Orphanage before joining the faculty of Elder High School and serving as an assistant pastor at Annunciation Parish until 1937.

Father Steinbicker was a pastor in Cincinnati from 1933 until his retirement in 1971. He served at Holy Name Parish in Cincinnati from 1960 to 1965 and was pastor of St. Andrew Parish in Milford from 1965 until 1971.

Through most of his retirement, he presided at daily noon mass at St. Teresa of Avila.

At the age of 95, the Rev. Carl Steinbicker, the oldest priest in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, died Monday, November 27, 2000. Father Steinbicker was survived by one sister, Dorothy Bishop of Cincinnati. Visitation and services were held at St. Teresa of Avila Church.
