| About the Logo
Celebratio Fidei commemorates the 150th anniversary
of the founding of Saint Andrew Faith Community, Milford , Ohio.
The logo chosen highlights our patron Andrew.
A digital photo of Andrew was taken of the stature of Andrew in
the church?s sanctuary. The elements of the likeness includes the
man himself, the scroll of the early Gospel he preached in many
parts of the world he knew, and the "X" shaped cross upon which
he hung to die. The "X" shape became the centerpiece of the flag
of Scotland of which Saint Andrew in patron.
The words of the logo
are simple: our parish name with location, the 150th anniversary
date, and the name of the sesquicentennial year. Celebratio
Fidei! The
name chosen acknowledges the central focus of this celebration;
faith.
