WHAT’S IN YOUR PARISH LIBRARY?

The Parish Library collection contains Christian reading and viewing materials donated by generous parishioners, like you, since its beginning twelve years ago.  Staffed by volunteers, it has grown to over 1600 items featuring such subject areas as the lives of Catholics, Christians and Saints; the Catholic Church and its teaching; documents from the Vatican, US Bishops and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati; social justice and Christian morality; novels by Christian authors; and help in the areas of relationships (living single, marriage, parenting, sexuality, death and divorce).

Specific classifications are devoted to the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Mary, Psychology, Sacraments, Worship, Scripture, and books on spirituality, prayer and devotions.

A special parish historical section as been created to provide a parish history and biographies of key players in the development of the parish; a photo and text record of the St. Andrews 150th Sesquicentennial Celebration year; and graduation and first communion pictures of St. Andrews and St. Elizabeth Ann elementary school classes.

A children’s reading area (smaller table and chairs) contains books and videos, ideal for elementary ages, CCD teachers, home-schoolers and parents who want to assist their children’s spiritual and religious growth.

A three-ring binder is available in the library for those interested in browsing the collection by Title/Author/Subject.  Borrowing period for books is 30 days and 7 days for audio/visual materials.  Library hours:  Sunday: 8AM to 12:30PM, (use side door entrance), Weekdays: same as Parish Office hours, (use front door entrance).
