| Altar Attendants
This is a ministry where you give special assistance to
the priest in the celebration of the Eucharist. You would carry
the processional cross, candles, etc.
This ministry is open to any active parishioner
(male or female) in the fifth grade or older, who is involved in
our CCD Program or SASEAS School. If interested in this ministry

Baptism Ministry
This ministry is a program set up to help parents and godparents
to understand the sacrament of Baptism: its rite, its meaning, and
its purpose.
The function of the Baptism Ministry Team couple is to witness
to the parents of those about to be baptized, what Baptism means
to them for their children. They also lead the parents and godparents
in discussion about Baptism, i.e. their roles, fears, and purpose

Bereavement Committee
To comfort and support through prayer and companionship the person
who is experiencing the painful loss of a loved one through death.
We contact the family to inquire if they are in need of house sitting
or other services during the visitation and funeral. If they need
our help, we contact the family members for whatever is needed.
After the burial, in the months to come, we keep in contact with
the bereaved and try to help them during the time of life's adjustments
and he grieving process. They are informed of the many different
support groups available in the area. Parish contact is Martha Riehle,

Engaged Ministry
This ministry is a supplement to Pre Cana or Engaged Encounter.
Its purpose is to assist engaged couples in identifying their strong
points and their weaknesses and to witness to them the reality of
marriage.
Couples meet 2 - 4 times, approximately 3 months prior to marriage,
one team couple to one engaged couple. Meetings are usually held
at the team couple's home. Contact: Deacon Tim Schutte, at 831-3353.

Choir
The St. Andrew Choir is a volunteer organization of parishioners.
The choir season is from September through June. Young and adult
members are welcome. The choir practices on Thursday evenings at
7:30 PM.
Children's Choir meets from October through May, every other Tuesday. Children of all ages are welcome.
Musicians meet every other Monday from mid September through May. If you play an instrument and are interested, please contact the Choir Director.

Eucharistic Ministers
This is a special ministry where you, along with the priest,
share the Body and Blood of Christ with the assembled community.
This ministry is open to any active parishioner (male or female)
high school age or older.
This ministry also takes the Eucharist to members of our parish
who are shut-ins or in our rest homes. This is done at many different
times during the week and weekend. If interested in this ministry

Lectors
The lector has the very special ministry of proclaiming the Word
of God. They proclaim the first and second readings from Scripture
and sometimes may read the verses of the Responsorial Psalm. They
also read the petitions and announcements.
This ministry is open to any active parishioner (male or

Network of Care
To provide the homebound, the handicapped, and the senior members
of the parish with the information, instruction, resources and/or
personal assistance to enable them to maintain a dignified independent

Prayer Chain
This ministry is a telephone chain for confidential prayer request. Calls are made to team leaders. Notification of requests are then forwarded to other members on the prayer chain. Sanctuary / Sacristy
Art & Environment
This group is responsible for decorating the sanctuary and for cleaning the sanctuary and sacristy.

Ushers (Ministry of Greeters)
This is a ministry where the usher-greeters represent the entire parish in being our host to welcome people and to make them feel comfortable before, during, and after the liturgy. They help direct the people and assist with any special activities as well as collections, etc.

Worship Commission
Worship is a commission of our Parish Council. Among its
purposes is to enhance the quality of liturgical celebrations, particularly
to help with the special liturgical functions.
It also helps to foster the spiritual growth of the parish by promoting
programs of spiritual education, and tries to feed the varied interest
of all the people of the parish, from the very young to the very
