Our Mission

The 20/20 Vision Committee has been challenged to identify the current and future needs of the Parish and to come up with a vision of how to address these needs. Each member of this committee has reflected on what it is that we as a parish want to be. Now it’s time to ask you, each member of the Parish, to do the same.

The following is a draft of a mission statement for our Parish. It has been written and re-written in an attempt to reflect what the collective membership of the St. Andrew Parish is all about now and for the future. Regarding this draft, the committee has two favors to ask.

1. Could you please read it and discuss it with your family and fellow parishioners.

2. Could you please pass along your comments, favorable or not, and also any ideas you may have to improve it. Your comments can be e-mailed, mailed, placed in the Sunday collection basket, or phoned per the instructions below. All comments are due back March 9th. Thank you very much.

The St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Mission is to offer the opportunity to live and grow to the fullest in the name of Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith.

To support this mission, we will:

  • Be a welcoming community of prayer in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Foster the formation of faith for all ages.
  • Promote and nurture ministries that address the needs of all its members and the needs of others within the local community.
  • Embrace the Christian way of life by becoming aware of the needs of others outside the local community, and doing what can be done to address those needs (on a state, country, and world basis).
  • Collaborate with other parishes and faiths to improve the effectiveness of the combined ministries.
  • Provide a reverent and meaningful environment for the celebration of the Mass and the Sacraments.
  • Support our schools to offer a highly valued Christian and academic education.
  • Promote the active participation of all parish members.
  • Through this mission and its responsibility, we are privileged to do this work in Christ’s name. Amen.
